Professional photographers edit 100% of the time. Camera sensors have a narrower dynamic range than the human eye — it's physically impossible to preserve both highlights and shadows in a single shot. Editing isn't about "manipulating" a photo — it's making up for what sensors can't capture so the image matches what you actually saw.

If you mostly shoot on your phone, start with Snapseed (free). If you shoot RAW or work on PC, start with Lightroom Mobile (free tier). Add VSCO when you want filter-based tone and mood. Follow the course order below.
